Abstract

Integration with baseline is performed by using the “Peak analysis” tool of VoltaMaster 4. Firstly, the user determines the baseline or lets VoltaMaster 4 do it automatically, then this baseline is subtracted to the sample curve and the result curve is processed to give the peak integration surface within two selectable points. The positive surface (surface having a positive ordinate), the negative surface (surface having a negative ordinate) and the total surface are displayed and can be saved in a result folder by clicking a Save button.

Experimental curve

The curve has been obtained from a Pot. Cyclic Voltammetry (demonstration curve: No ODC 035.CRV). The curve must show only one peak (use the Linear extraction tool between point number 340 and 510).

Settings

A baseline determination by manual mode is selected.

Results

Conclusion

Peak integration with baseline is a post run processing which can be used to integrate peaks on a user selected baseline contrary to the “Processing – Integration” tool which integrates only with a y=0 baseline.
