 M251Pt
Platinum wire corkscrew Voltammetry
The M251Pt is designed for use as a counter electrode in voltammetry. It has
the same platinum mass as the M231Pt but the surface is larger thanks to the cork-screw
design of a smaller diameter wire. As the surface is larger, there is less risk
of the gaseous emission forming a sleeve of large bubbles which would hinder the
correct regulation of the potentiostat. Its dimensions allow it to be placed in
the AL120 in order to prevent the products of the counter reaction mixing with
the electrolyte, should the need arise.
